Uniswap needs to package external liquidity into its own pool through hooks, such as Curve, Fluid, and other protocol pools. Then, when you initiate a transaction on its front-end, it will provide you with the optimal path and quote. If a transaction is made here, it will charge a protocol fee, which will be used to destroy UNI.
The short-term contribution to UNI destruction is limited, but the long-term strategic significance is significant because Uniswap itself has already monopolized most of the liquidity, and aggregating external pools is just icing on the cake. However, in the long run, if you gradually occupy the user's mind on the front-end aggregator, your monopoly position in the future will be even more difficult to surpass. You may be able to build a more efficient AMM, but in the end, it may still have to be drained by Uniswap.
At present, Uniswap has replaced most aggregators in my daily transactions, such as 1inch, CowSwap, and 0x. I used to use them frequently, but eventually returned to Uniswap, which is simple, stable, and effective.
