SSV Labs plans to reduce budget and extend network hosting services until mid-2027 SSV Labs, the core developer of the Ethereum staking protocol SSV Network, has submitted a DIP-59 proposal to revise and extend the previous DIP-31 protocol, extending the network hosting service period from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. Due to the current market environment and DAO financial situation, the scope of work covered by the proposal has been reduced compared to previous years and plans, with a focus on "maintenance" rather than "expansion roadmap". SSV Labs is responsible for maintaining the protocol implementation, ensuring that the network has the ability to respond to forks, maintaining the current main network smart contracts, and ensuring the normal operation of various operational and user oriented functional modules.
