Richard Blumenthal, the Democratic lead member of the United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, is investigating Tether's payment of millions of dollars to the consulting firm Nxcum Group, founded by former White House crypto advisor Bo Hines. He has written to Tether and Nxcum requesting disclosure of the relevant business arrangements. Previously, The Wall Street Journal revealed that Nyum charged Tether a large consulting fee while Hines was still serving as White House crypto policy advisor. Blumenthal believes that Hines was directly involved in the development of stablecoin policies that affected Tether's business, and the related payments may involve legal and ethical issues. Hines currently serves as the head of Tether's US business, and Tether has not yet responded to this investigation. https://(wublock123.com)/news/senator-probes-tether-payments-to-former-white-house-crypto-advisor-company-70558
