Odaily Planet Daily News: The ban on cryptocurrency ATMs and counters assisting in cryptocurrency trading in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has come into effect. Relevant merchants must immediately cease operations and remove their devices by December 5th. The virtual currency regulations in Albuquerque prohibit merchants, landlords, property owners, and retailers from operating or providing venues for placing cryptocurrency ATMs; Violators may be fined $500 per day, their business license may be revoked, and the entire merchant may be closed. This regulation does not restrict residents to legally hold, mine and privately transfer cryptocurrencies through Internet exchanges and personal digital wallets. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has stated that the reported losses from cryptocurrency ATM fraud in 2025 exceed $388 million. ((Bitcoin.com) News)
