According to the Financial Times, since returning to the White House, US President Trump has fulfilled multiple campaign promises in terms of tax cuts, immigration controls, increased tariffs, and relaxed energy and environmental regulations. However, progress towards goals such as reducing living costs, narrowing trade deficits, and avoiding overseas wars has fallen short of expectations. Data shows that the inflation rate in the United States rose to 3.7% in September, and the mortgage interest rate was about 7.4%, both higher than Trump's previously set targets. Despite record levels of oil and gas production and exports in the United States, the Middle East conflict continues to drive up gasoline and electricity prices. In terms of trade, high tariff policies have been implemented, but the trade deficit has not been continuously narrowed. Immigration policy is a highly implemented area, with the number of illegal border crossings dropping to 8870 in August, a significant decrease from the peak of approximately 250000 in December 2023. However, the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, coupled with the involvement of the United States in the Iran War, contrasts with Trump's promise to avoid overseas conflicts. Overall, administrative and legislative measures have been advancing rapidly, but the results oriented goals in the economic and diplomatic fields still face challenges.
