Driven by artificial intelligence spending plans, Meta credit risk indicators hit a new high The credit risk indicator of Meta Platforms (META. O) soared to a historic high, and its bond prices fell in response. Previously, the company planned to increase capital expenditures, which once again raised market concerns: in an already saturated market, tech giants may issue more debt for the construction of artificial intelligence. According to data from ICE Data Services, as investor concerns intensified, the company's five-year credit default swap (CDS) prices rose by 8.9 basis points at one point, reaching approximately 119.3 basis points per year, the highest intraday level since the launch of the swap product. Meta stated that the company will invest approximately $825 billion in various leases and contracts in the future, many of which are related to artificial intelligence computing capabilities and infrastructure. In July, Meta reported that its total future spending commitments were close to $700 billion.
