[Institution: It is expected that the Bank of Korea will gradually raise interest rates twice more during this cycle]
According to TechFlow, on October 22nd, Sung soo, a strategist at Hanhua Investment Securities, pointed out in a report that the Bank of Korea did not provide clear forward guidance after keeping interest rates unchanged, indicating that policymakers are satisfied with the market's pricing of interest rate paths. Sung soo stated, "Although demand momentum may continue to be strong, the lack of clear signals can be interpreted as policymakers having little objection to the policy rate path and terminal interest rate of market pricing." Sung soo expects that the central bank will raise interest rates in two more stages during this interest rate hike cycle, in November and February next year, raising the terminal interest rate to 3.50%, and then maintaining that level until the end of 2027.
