HSBC warns AI retail investors: market pace accelerates, long-term holding strategy insufficient The investment boom in artificial intelligence is still ongoing, but for retail investors chasing the rising trend of chip stocks, HSBC's Chief Multi Asset Strategist Max Kettner has given a clear reminder: the market pace is accelerating, and simply optimistic about the long-term prospects of AI does not mean that it can withstand the short-term fluctuations of related stocks. Kaitner stated that in the past two years, the short-term trend in the market has significantly intensified. Investors may have initially established a judgment based on fundamentals that is expected to last for three to six months, but now, related market trends can sometimes be completed within a week. He believes that the impact of technical indicators, market positions, and capital flows on short-term prices is becoming increasingly significant and may not necessarily be synchronized with the fundamentals of the enterprise. For ordinary investors, the biggest challenge may not be whether they are optimistic about AI, but whether they can cope with the constantly changing trading pace around this topic.
