Oil prices are still fluctuating
WTI surged again, nearing $100, and last night $BTC spiked to $84 before pulling back.
It’s still about geopolitics and oil prices.
Pre-market, U.S. stocks also dropped. Micron fell below $900, SPCX didn’t rally and pulled back to around $155. Let’s see if the wave of unlocks will bring some good entry points.
On the geopolitical front, we’ll see if things can continue to ease as the midterm elections approach. If not, we might have to wait until November’s APEC, when the U.S. and China will meet again.
But judging from the oil price charts, it seems like we’re starting to see a pullback on the right side of the price curve. Still, we’ll have to watch if there’s another flare-up in November.
$BTC is back to the $80-$83 range, consolidating and rotating hands—another opportunity here. But if oil prices don’t drop, a unilateral rally will still be tough. If it lingers here too long, it’s hard to say it won’t break below the $80 range.
For U.S. stocks with good liquidity, it might just take waiting for uncertain events to pass. A bit of positive news could trigger a rebound.
But overall, the risk markets are still under pressure right now.
