Now everyone is starting to feel
the power of U.S. interest rate hikes.
The external markets, Big A and Hong Kong stocks,
are being drained by the rate hikes,
and stock prices are being pulled downward
like gravity.
But actually, it's during times like these
that you should look for
those stocks that can defy gravity
and eventually bounce back.
5-6 years ago, Moutai rose to around 1800.
I sold all my Moutai shares back then.
At that time, Moutai's P/E ratio was close to 50.
Everyone was mocking tech stocks
and hyping up "sauce-flavored tech."
My cost for Moutai was very low,
but I still sold it.
After I sold, Moutai went up another 30-40%.
This downward cycle came very slowly.
It took three years for Moutai to drop back
to the price I sold it at.
When it hit 1500, I started buying back (before dividends).
Roughly equivalent to today's cost of 1300-1400.
The people chasing high prices in liquor stocks back then
are the same ones chasing high prices in AI tech this May.
This May, Moutai dropped to 1100.
When tech stocks were rising,
the same people who mocked buying Moutai
and thought you should chase AI highs
were still those same people.
Crowded places are really not worth going to,
because a stampede can cost you your life.
Now Big A's AI tech stocks are already being criticized,
which means bottoming opportunities are brewing.
If you were optimistic about a certain AI tech stock before,
and its performance and fundamentals
still meet your expectations,
why didn’t you buy it at 100?
And now at 40, why are you still not buying?
