[Goldman Sachs: CoreWeave Funding Gap is Manageable, Target Price $106]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow, citing research from Tide Research, Goldman Sachs' October 21, 2026, research report stated that CoreWeave (CRWV) is currently priced at $61.82, with a target price of $106, representing an upside of 71.5%. As of August, the backlog of orders amounted to $129 billion. Servicing the existing backlog requires approximately $23 billion in new debt, while expanding 4.2 GW of power capacity would require about $38 billion in new debt. The cash shortfall is approximately $1.6 billion.
Goldman Sachs believes the funding gap can be covered through debt financing, customer prepayments, and operating cash flow. The report reiterated a Buy rating, with the target price based on 18x forward 12-month EBITDA.
Goldman Sachs highlighted key risks, including financing, data center capacity ramp-up, and mismatches in contract and cost timing. The assumption that the funding gap is manageable is contingent on the debt market remaining open, prepayment ratios staying stable, and GPU lifespan assumptions not being shortened.
