Privacy coin project Pirate Chain (ARRR) announced that on October 14, attackers exploited two transaction validation vulnerabilities to illegally mint approximately 39.82 million ARRR, temporarily inflating the token supply by about 20%. The team stated that the vulnerabilities have been fixed, and after reaching consensus with the community, mining pools, exchanges, and dPoW notarization nodes, the blockchain was rolled back to block #4,176,944, prior to the attack, removing the illegally minted tokens.
