Just wrapped Money20/20 in Vegas. Talked to 20+ banks and PSPs over four days. My takeaways: 1. Stablecoins are making cross-border payments exciting again. Old business, new rails, real money. The GENIUS Act is making the rules clearer, and most big players are building with banks, not against them. 2. Banks and PSPs think very differently about waiving KYC for payers. Some won't even discuss it. Others are already doing it. That one decision shapes the entire product. 3. AI came up in almost every conversation: fraud, customer support, and agents that make payments on their own. 4. Don't sleep on Latin America. Stablecoin payments, FX and account opening all work differently in each country, with different providers. Hard to get right, but there's a lot to win. 5. The crowd was very senior, and lots of the fintechs were well-funded, with teams mostly in NY or SF. Building in stablecoin payments or LatAm?
