[South Korean Finance Minister: Decision on Cryptocurrency Taxation to Be Made After Gathering Opinions from the Industry and Parliament] According to News1, South Korea's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Lee Hyung-il, stated during a national audit that opinions from the industry and parliament will be collected and carefully considered before making a judgment on cryptocurrency taxation. During the same audit, the South Korean National Tax Service noted that it is nearly impossible to fully track data from overseas and decentralized exchanges. Cryptocurrency taxation in South Korea was originally scheduled to be implemented next year but has already been postponed three times. Currently, there is growing demand for a fourth postponement. On the 20th, the South Korean government convened the heads of the five major cryptocurrency exchanges to hear their opinions on delaying the taxation.
