[Important Documents Encrypted by Ransomware: 'Weaxor' Ransomware Cyberattacks Remain Active] According to CCTV News, the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center and the National Engineering Laboratory for Computer Virus Prevention and Control have recently identified multiple incidents within China where users were targeted by the 'Weaxor' ransomware through the National Computer Virus Collaborative Analysis Platform (https://virus.cverc.(org.cn)). In these cases, important user files were encrypted, and the filenames were altered to the original filename + '.weax' or similar suffix strings.
