Powered by Opus 5.5, Claude Duet is available as a standalone app on iOS and Android, and can be accessed via the claude.ai website on desktop. The assistant operates on independent cloud-based computers, can integrate with connected user applications, delivers morning briefings daily, and continues processing tasks when the user is away. For sensitive operations such as sending messages or making payments, it will seek user consent beforehand. The research preview phase is currently limited to U.S.-based Claude Pro and Max users, with team and enterprise versions not yet included. Anthropic's engineering lead, Felix Rieseberg, announced the opening of the waitlist on the X platform on the same day.
