Back when $SPCX was over 200,
I was bearish all the way and shorted it.
Closed my short position at 170.
Finally managed to catch the dip when $SPCX dropped below 110.
According to my original trading plan,
I’m just dollar-cost averaging and adding to my position.
What I’ve already bought, I won’t sell.
Why did I sell back then?
Because I thought the lock-up period was about to end,
circulating shares would increase,
and the price would keep dropping.
So I sold, waiting for a cheaper entry.
Looking at the market cap,
it was 1.3 trillion at the time,
which wasn’t exactly cheap.
I figured there’d be a chance to buy at a lower price.
But yesterday, $SPCX’s earnings report came out,
and it looks like $SPCX around 100
probably won’t be available anytime soon.
I kind of regret selling.
But I’m not FOMO-ing.
If I can’t buy it, I won’t force it.
Protecting my principal is more important than chasing profits.
No matter how good the asset is,
you’ve got to consider the margin of safety.
