According to Wu Blockchain, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) released a consultation paper on DeFi regulatory guidance (GC26/7) on October 21. The draft aims to clarify how existing operational resilience and financial crime prevention requirements apply to regulated entities providing financial services through DeFi. Key areas include smart contracts, cross-chain bridges, oracles, third-party dependency risks, anti-money laundering (AML), customer due diligence (CDD), and transaction monitoring. The FCA emphasized that using DeFi or smart contracts does not automatically exempt entities from regulatory licensing requirements. This guidance seeks to explain existing rules rather than introduce new regulatory obligations. The document noted that from January to August 2026, DEX trading volume accounted for approximately 14% to 19% of global crypto spot trading volume. The consultation period ends on November 18, with the final guidance expected to be published in Q1 2027. https://(wublock123.com)/news/uk-fca-defi-regulatory-guidance-resilience-aml-70479
