Two practical rules for trading stocks and crypto:
1. Buy during disagreement, sell during consensus.
When there's disagreement, trading volume surges, and chips move from retail investors to the big players. During consensus, everyone is bullish, no one is selling—so who's left to buy? Consensus is a signal of liquidity drying up.
2. Buy on expectations, sell on facts.
Before earnings are announced, expectations build up and prices rise. Once the good news is confirmed, imagination fades, and valuations come into play. The buying power is exhausted, leaving only sell orders.
