Some words for project teams building products: Why is no one using your product? The most ironic thing in the crypto space is that while there are more and more projects, there are barely any truly useful products. The moment a sector gets hot, dozens of projects rush in, copying features from each other, tweaking the interface, spinning a new narrative, and then start raising funds and issuing tokens. In the end, aside from the token names, the products are almost indistinguishable. If project teams want to overtake competitors, I think it’s time to change the approach: 1. Stop obsessing over competitors and start listening to user complaints. Wherever it’s hard to use, expensive, or unresolved—opportunities are hiding there. 2. You don’t always need a technical breakthrough. If you can simplify a five-step process into one step, that’s your edge. 3. Don’t try to do everything. Focus on one type of user and perfect one need. That’s better than creating a half-baked all-in-one product. 4. Don’t blindly rely on airdrops to acquire users. If people still use your product after the rewards stop, that’s when it proves its value. 5. Don’t treat token issuance as a business. Without real demand and sustainable revenue, even the most elegant tokenomics won’t last. Often, opportunities don’t come from things no one has done before, but from things everyone is doing—just not doing well.
