[SpaceX to Attempt Simultaneous Recovery of Starship and Booster for the First Time Next Month] According to The Verge, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced during the company's Q3 earnings call that SpaceX will attempt for the first time next month to use the launch tower to catch the Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy booster, achieving full recovery of the orbital launch system. Musk stated that if successful, this would mark the first-ever complete recovery of an orbital launch rocket in history. He noted that while success is not guaranteed, the chances are higher, and test flights will continue through the end of the year, with an accelerated frequency planned for next year. During last month's Starship launch, one Raptor engine shut down prematurely, reducing the mission from the planned six orbits to two, and neither stage was recovered.
