Pedro Pascal’s reaction in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) became a memorable moment among fans, but the viral story behind it isn’t entirely true. Online claims suggest Pascal admitted he wasn’t acting and was genuinely reacting to how bad the scene was, even allegedly criticizing Gal Gadot’s performance after several failed takes. However, there’s no credible evidence he ever made those statements. What makes the moment entertaining is Pascal’s exaggerated performance as Maxwell Lord, a character whose desperation and increasingly chaotic behavior perfectly match the film’s dramatic tone. His expressive acting helped make Lord one of the movie’s most talked-about characters. While the supposed behind-the-scenes quotes are amusing, they appear to be another example of internet humor being mistaken for actual movie trivia.
