These past couple of days,
a blogger who had been promoting a certain project for a long time
has been getting dragged and cursed out.
When a project backfires! No results! High launch, instant crash!
The first to get blamed is often not the project team,
but those bloggers who wrote about it for ages, hyped it up, and supported it all the way.
Clearly, they’re not the ones who set the launch price,
not the ones who designed the tokenomics,
and not the ones who decide how to operate the project afterward.
But because they publicly supported it,
spent a ton of time researching, promoting, and sticking with it,
they end up being the first to bear the brunt of the community’s anger.
That’s why I’ve always believed:
A gentleman knows what to do and what not to do.
I hope the project teams about to TGE next will hold the line and act with integrity!
No matter how high your token might go later,
or how the market ultimately plays out,
at the very least, please manage your launch properly.
Start low and rise high, so the people who believed in you first can make some money.
When your earliest supporters make money,
they’ll naturally become your advocates,
promoting you and defending you on their own.
Start low and rise high—even if some people lose money later,
most of the blame will fall on their own greed,
on themselves for not taking profits or covering their initial investment!
But if you launch high and crash immediately,
or don’t even deliver any results,
then what people will remember
isn’t just how much money they lost,
but the project team and the bloggers who supported it all the way.
You can buy traffic,
you can hire KOLs,
but community trust
isn’t something you can just throw money at.
Don’t leave the people who spent so much time supporting you
with no ground to stand on when it’s time to defend themselves.
Projects can have cycles, markets can fluctuate.
But a project that truly wants to go the distance
should at least show more respect and responsibility
to the people who believed in it from the very beginning.
