[Iranian Foreign Minister Says Negotiations with the U.S. via Mediators Are Ongoing, Refuses to Disclose Additional U.S. Conditions] BlockBeats News, October 21: Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated in an exclusive interview with a Middle Eastern television station that Iran and the United States are continuing indirect negotiations through mediators such as Pakistan and Qatar. Previously, Iran proposed a 'Seven-Day Plan' to the U.S., clearly outlining Iran's conditions; according to the plan, the Strait of Hormuz was originally scheduled to be fully reopened on the sixth day. Araghchi noted that the U.S. had informed Iran of its agreement to these conditions but expressed a desire to add several additional clauses. He refused to disclose whether the new U.S. conditions pertain to security or economic issues, stating, 'We will not negotiate through your channel.' Araghchi emphasized that Iran demands the U.S. fulfill all commitments outlined in the previously signed 'Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.' Only after the U.S. fulfills its obligations can the two sides negotiate other issues. He stated that in the final stage of negotiations, both parties can discuss any topics or issues proposed by either side and reach a final agreement on them.
