Recently, the downturn in AI and semiconductors has been getting worse. I’ve mentioned in many tweets that the main issue right now is the excessively high capital expenditure. On top of that, the U.S. is still maintaining high interest rates, which means higher borrowing costs for 'small companies.' Forget about making a profit—breaking even seems like a distant dream. Even big companies are struggling, with many data centers unable to get off the ground. Plus, the U.S. is facing an electricity shortage, so the market has started to become immune to the AI and semiconductor hype.
This doesn’t mean AI is entering a bubble; it’s just that the high interest rates are making it tough. AI and semiconductor companies have to raise yields if they want to issue bonds, but U.S. Treasury yields are already high and come with almost no risk. What company can compete with U.S. Treasuries? If businesses want to continue issuing bonds to raise funds, they’ll have to offer higher yields, which means they’ll need to make even more money. In plain terms, they’re running out of money to burn.
You guys probably already know who’s to blame for these high interest rates—thanks to Trump and his whole family. If it weren’t for Trump insisting on going after Iran, we wouldn’t be in this mess. While I do think Iran’s 'puppet master' behavior is disgusting, the U.S. and Trump’s inaction are the real culprits here. They’ve been completely manipulated by Israel, and all that talk about winning means nothing.
Anyway, enough ranting. Bitcoin’s price movement has been relatively stable. Today, I took advantage of bitcoin:native being at a low point and set up a BTC dual-currency investment at $79,000. I’m totally fine with buying at this price, and if it doesn’t hit, I’ll take the 11% interest—it’s not bad either.
