[Utah Sues Kalshi and Two Susquehanna-Affiliated Trading Companies] According to reports from *The Salt Lake Tribune* and Crypto Briefing, Utah Attorney General Derek Brown has filed a lawsuit in the state's Third District Court against prediction market platform Kalshi and two Susquehanna-affiliated trading companies. The lawsuit accuses them of continuing to offer sports and event contracts to local residents, with market makers facilitating related transactions, even after a federal court affirmed Utah's authority to enforce its gambling ban. The lawsuit seeks to prohibit residents from accessing the related contracts, compensate residents for losses, recover illegal profits, and requests the court to declare the platforms a public nuisance. Utah estimates that Kalshi collected fees ranging from $30.6 million to $61.2 million from accounts in the state, with over 32,000 Kalshi accounts registered under Utah residents.
