**[OKX Launches Shield Account Protection Plan, Eligible U.S. Users Can Receive Up to $500,000 in Protection]**
Odaily Planet Daily News: Cryptocurrency exchange platform OKX launched the Shield Account Protection Plan in the U.S. on October 20, offering eligible users up to $500,000 in protection. The plan covers certain unauthorized account takeovers caused by phishing, malware, and SIM card swap attacks, provided users enable security settings such as passkeys.
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that his interest in cryptocurrency began in 2011. He currently serves as a board member of OKX and co-chairs a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. Cuomo supports OKX's efforts to advance tokenized U.S. stocks and noted that some companies remain in a wait-and-see mode.
Andrew Cuomo predicted that the CLARITY Act is unlikely to be voted on before the 2026 midterm elections, with the next opportunity possibly coming in January next year. He emphasized that the U.S. Congress should reduce partisan conflicts and establish clearer federal regulations for the digital asset market. Companies like Microsoft and Alphabet, Google's parent company, currently maintain a cautious stance on tokenized stocks. (Bitcoin.com News)
