TSLA This time, expected revenue is $28.11B. Yesterday, the latest company consensus forecast was released: current sell-side consensus expects Q3 revenue around $28.34B, Non-GAAP EPS $0.45, GAAP EPS $0.23, capital expenditure around $7.77B, and free cash flow around -$4.51B.
If tonight’s earnings report shows average EPS, average revenue, and average automotive business performance, but future valuations can keep up, then the stock price might rise. After all, Tesla isn’t just a car company anymore.
I saw on OKX that 72% of people are optimistic that the earnings report will exceed expectations! But I think there’s a high chance of a reversal. The key focus this time is free cash flow—this is the #1 core metric for this earnings report.
Market expectations are around -$4.5B. If it comes in at -$3B, that’s a great signal. If it beats expectations, it raises the question: is Tesla using car sales revenue to fund an unexpected AI empire?
Current stock price is $368, up 3.76% yesterday. You can wait until after the earnings report:
- Breaks through $380 and the earnings call continues to emphasize Robotaxi → Go long
- Drops to around $350 but fundamentals remain stable → Look for a rebound
- Falls below $350 + significant deterioration in gross margin/FCF → Go short
I’ve been bouncing between Yes and No many times, but this time my prediction is No!
