According to TechFlow on October 20, as reported by TechCrunch, AI meeting tool Otter.ai has received $320 million in funding from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund (CVF). This funding will not dilute the company's equity, as CVF will earn returns through performance gains driven by Otter.ai's marketing efforts. Otter.ai plans to use the funds for enterprise business growth, market expansion, international outreach, and product innovation. Otter.ai's annual recurring revenue (ARR) surpassed $100 million last year, and its total user base has now reached 40 million, up from 25 million the previous year. The company is evolving from a meeting transcription tool into a broader enterprise AI workflow solution, testing features such as pre-meeting briefings and Live Assist. These features aim to provide users with background information before meetings and allow them to directly ask the AI assistant questions during meetings.
