Ethereum L2 project Taiko has passed a governance proposal to increase the proportion of L2 base fees allocated to block proposers from 75% to 100%, while keeping the fees paid by users unchanged. This move eliminates the protocol-level economic loss faced by block proposers when covering Gas fees for users, paving the way for a future Gas-free transaction experience. However, this does not mean the feature has been officially launched yet.
