The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve now holds 282.7 MILLION barrels, the least since October 1982, data from the ‌Department ⁠of Energy shows. The drawdown is part of Washington’s 172M barrel commitment to ease fuel prices amid the Iran war. About 132.5M barrels had already been released as of Oct 16, with bids sought for another 17M.
