Oh oh oh, Leo posted this rant, which is actually an explanation of the core ideas behind the long article he wrote earlier.

- For agent-driven commercial activities with massive imagination for the future, the challenge isn’t about solving payments or discovering prices. It’s about how agents can autonomously create markets for specific uncertainties, find risk takers, and complete pricing and settlement.
- Smart contracts address performance risks, but there are still plenty of commercial risks tied to future uncertainties that need solutions. Agents should be able to autonomously express these uncertainties in commercial activities as tradable contracts, allowing other agents to voluntarily provide capital, take on risks (and earn profits from the trades), thereby forming a truly autonomous agent trading market. (This isn’t the task market everyone’s talking about today.) Only then can the agent economy/machine economy/new internet economy (whatever you want to call it) truly develop.
- Agent payments are just the simple beginning. What’s more important is agent-driven pricing and risk transfer. Agents should be able to autonomously decide what contracts to create to hedge risks and ensure the continuity of commercial activities. When needed, they can initiate flexible and efficient short-term markets for one-time demands—disposable markets.
A bold vision.
