Notion Upgrades AI Agent, Supports Desktop and Browser Operations with Tasks Up to 24 Hours

Notion announced an upgrade to its AI capabilities, with the Notion Agent now available for use on standalone desktops and browsers. The update improves context management and introduces a new "Review for me" mode with safety checks, allowing tasks to run for up to 24 hours. The upgraded Auto model routing balances quality, speed, and cost based on the task. The company claims it has achieved results close to Opus 5.5 and Astra across more than 20 common tasks, with average costs reduced by approximately 90%. Notion also supports personal Agents connecting to existing ChatGPT subscriptions, while the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) feature for enterprise API keys has entered private Alpha testing. Notion MCP memory synchronization is now live, and the functionality to use skills via MCP will be launched soon. AI usage will be incorporated into a new unified points system.
