[Two-Level Reversal? Tesla Roadster is Just a 'Fart Car That Flies for a Maximum of 6 Seconds,' Not Meeting the FAA's Definition of Aircraft] Odaily Planet Daily News: Tesla Roadster has sparked heated market discussions with its 'flying car' concept, but it has also brought corresponding controversies. Recently, CBS sought confirmation from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which responded that the Tesla Roadster does not meet the FAA's definition of an aircraft. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) subsequently stated that even if this car visually challenges the laws of physics, Tesla must ensure it complies with applicable motor vehicle safety standards, and drivers must still adhere to local road regulations. In other words: the Roadster is not a flying car. Additionally, according to overseas media MotorTrend's report and technical specifications, the Roadster demonstrated at its launch event completed three jumps, with its flight time dependent on the amount of stored gas. Under full-thrust conditions, the flight time barely exceeds 2 seconds, while the subsequent refueling time takes as long as 6 to 7 hours. Based on a gas storage capacity of 250 kilograms, the flight time under full-thrust conditions still does not exceed 6 seconds. (Dongchehui)
