This week’s tech stock earnings reports are all about Meta and Tesla, dropping in the early hours of October 22nd Beijing time. If you’re into AI and semiconductors, keep an eye on these.
For Meta, the main focus is how much more Zuckerberg plans to invest in AI. The money they’re spending on computing power ties directly to future orders for chip and server manufacturers, so this report will impact quite a few companies. But for Meta itself, the key question is whether its ad revenue can keep up. If both revenue and profits are growing, the market will be more accepting of its continued heavy investments.
As for Tesla, we already know the delivery numbers—this time, it’s all about how much profit they’re making from car sales and how much energy storage is contributing to the bottom line. Then there’s FSD and Robotaxi. Let’s see if Musk can provide more concrete timelines and progress updates. After all, the market’s expectations for Tesla go way beyond just selling cars.
Also, in the early hours of October 21st Beijing time, we’ve got SpaceX and Netflix, and on the 22nd, there’s Lam Research (LRCX), Texas Instruments (TXN), IBM, and SAP. If you’re following semiconductors, you might want to check out the data from Lam Research and Texas Instruments.
One @Gate, trade more markets.
