"Since early September, I’ve been saying the crypto market has entered hard mode—and even now, it’s still not the right time for aggressive trades.
You’re asking me, ‘What if I really want to trade? What should I do?’ Well, here’s what I’d say:
1. Tight stop-losses, high leverage—whether it’s a big position or a small one, now is not the time to go all in. This market is all about stop-loss hunting; the price barely moves, but your position gets wiped out—that’s the norm. Don’t think, ‘Oh, my amount is small, I’m just playing around.’ Trust me, you’ll slowly lose your mental balance as the market teases you, then your amount will grow, and eventually, you’ll get hit hard.
2. So, how can pure bulls approach this market? Let me use ETH as an example. With 2x leverage, the liquidation price is $1200—that’s roughly the midpoint.
Think about whether you’ll have opportunities to add to your position if it drops. If you add until the liquidation price is $1500, will you panic? If yes, then maybe start with a liquidation price at $800 instead.
Think about what level you’ll chase if the price goes up, and how to fully load your position. If you chase a false breakout, where will you set your stop-loss?
Once you’ve figured all this out, you can go for wider stop-losses, because the probability of dropping back into a bear market (to $1500) is low, while the probability of continuing the bull run (to $3000+) is high.
At the end of the day, trading is never 100% guaranteed. It’s all about betting on the side with higher probabilities."
