[White-Haired Stock God Serenity: Microsoft's Exit from Nscale Partnership Could Benefit Compute Power Providers like Nebius and IREN]
Odaily Planet Daily News – White-Haired Stock God Serenity posted on the X platform, stating that the market may have misinterpreted the impact of Microsoft (MSFT) exiting its partnership with Nscale. Serenity believes that this event could actually be beneficial for Neocloud (next-generation cloud computing) companies like Nebius (NBIS) and IREN (IREN), which possess operational data center capacity and the ability to deliver compute power. Serenity pointed out that Microsoft's withdrawal from the partnership does not mean it no longer requires AI compute power; rather, it could be due to Nscale's inability to deliver on schedule. Microsoft still needs to find other suppliers to meet its compute power demands, which could create new order opportunities for companies with ready power resources and rapid delivery capabilities. This event should not be simply interpreted as a negative for the entire Neocloud industry.
Earlier reports indicated that Microsoft (MSFT.O) had exited its data center partnership project with UK-based emerging cloud service provider Nscale in Loughton, Essex, UK. Microsoft did not specify the reasons for terminating the partnership, but the project had been plagued by a series of delays. Local authorities have informed Nscale that power for the facility is not expected to be available until the 2030s.
