According to the IIP-59 proposal, staking rewards for voters are now calculated and distributed directly on-chain by the protocol during each reward cycle, eliminating the need for off-chain services or intermediaries. Anyone can directly verify each payment on-chain. The first on-chain distribution will take place tomorrow. Zanzibar also strengthens the consensus mechanism through delegated key ownership proof checks, paving the way for future BLS signature aggregation.
