BlackRock: Tokenized Funds Are Accelerating Integration into Wall Street's Core Financial Infrastructure
PANews|Oct 19, 2026 03:41
According to Bloomberg, BlackRock stated that Wall Street's application of blockchain is shifting from simply "digitizing" stocks, bonds, and money market funds to transforming how these assets circulate within the financial system. The focus is on enabling tokenized assets to serve as collateral, supporting 24/7 trading for investors, and reducing redemption requirements during ownership transfers. Dan Maley, BlackRock's Head of Asia-Pacific Cash Management, noted that BlackRock's tokenized funds have already been used as collateral in the digital asset market. However, their expansion into traditional finance remains constrained by banks' acceptance, market infrastructure, and regulatory clarity.
