From 2020 to 2024, I made money riding the trends. But in the past two years, especially this cycle, many old strategies have become less effective. Fake breakouts are now common knowledge, and the profitability of altcoins has dropped. These days, I no longer chase every breakout or buy at every support. Instead, I focus on judging whether it’s a real breakout or just liquidity hunting, and I’ve gradually shifted to trading only major coins.
The market changes, and strategies have their lifecycles too. When a model doesn’t suit you or you can’t understand other approaches, the best choice is to hold back, trade less, or even not trade at all. In the long run, it’s important to study the pros and cons of different theories, understand why the market behaves the way it does, and avoid using one single strategy to explain all market conditions.
What’s truly worth studying isn’t just how to trade, but which logic to use in different market environments. This is more important than specific entry points. Recognize the environment first, then talk about entries. I’m also changing and gradually adapting to the current market conditions. My profits are still growing, just at a slower pace!
