European governments are coming up with a plan to build their own constellation of low earth orbit satellites to compete with Starlink. The problem is ... they don't have the capacity to launch the satellites. The European rocket, Ariane 6, is not reusable. It is WAY more expensive per launch and will never do more than 6 to 12 launches per year. Don't be surprised when Europe has to beg Elon to launch their satellites to compete with Starlink.
