🚨STUNNING: Circle hits back at rival stablecoins, revealing it keeps just 7 CENTS per dollar.
Circle says rivals are pitching that issuers keep too much of the money and make redemptions expensive.
It brought in about $1.4 BILLION in revenue in the first half of 2026, and says 59 cents of every dollar went to partners and transaction costs.
Another 34 cents went into licenses, banks, liquidity and compliance, leaving 7 cents of profit.
It also says every customer can already redeem USDC for free.
It warns that rival models create "a stablecoin that distributes everything but funds nothing."
Rival Open USD, which passes reserve income to participants minus a fee, is backed by Coinbase, Stripe and BlackRock, per CoinDesk.
The twist: Coinbase is Circle's largest partner, and BlackRock manages the fund that holds USDC's reserves.
