[Cysic Cross-Chain Bridge Attacked, 10 Million CYS Minted on BNB Smart Chain] On October 17, the Cysic Foundation's cross-chain bridge was attacked, with the attacker unauthorizedly minting 10 million CYS on the BNB Smart Chain. The project team has suspended the cross-chain bridge, blacklisted the relevant addresses, and hired a security firm to investigate. The attacker accessed the database and exploited a logic vulnerability to forge minting messages. The Cysic mainnet and user assets remain unaffected. Currently, approximately 2.8 million CYS have been restricted from transfer, and the actual losses are still under assessment.
