A privacy chain just upgraded its new pool on October 3rd.
Eleven days later, a vulnerability was discovered.
Out of nowhere, 39.8 million coins were minted, instantly increasing the supply by 20%.
The minted coins went straight into the hidden pool, making them untraceable.
At first, the team said they would roll back to October 14th.
Then they changed their stance, claiming decentralization—rollback is impossible.
ZEC had a similar upgrade in July, patching its own vulnerability from May.
On the 13th, I was watching that ETF redeeming outflows.
Today, the issue is on the other side—the supply itself.
It dropped from 1,698 on September 26th to 1,133.
Privacy coins are all about making transactions untraceable.
Now, even the total supply can't be verified.
I don’t hold any, and I don’t plan to this round either.
