[Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès Accuses Ledger CEO of Mishandling Hardware Wallet Supply Chain Attack]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin News posted on the X platform, stating that former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès accused Ledger of failing to adequately warn customers about complex hardware implants after becoming aware of related threats as early as March 2026, and relegating the warnings to an article on Ledger Academy. Karpelès claimed that evidence of mass production and self-aligned implants should have triggered the highest level of alert response. Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier, after referencing Karpelès' Mt. Gox experience, was countered by Karpelès, who said he had trusted Ledger to learn from his failures and perform better. Karpelès also criticized Ledger for continuing to downplay the incident and questioned its communication with affected customers.
