Fidelity's Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) stated in its report that Solana's network health has made progress in resilience, economic security, and performance metrics. The report noted that high staking participation and incentive mechanisms rewarding validator performance have supported Solana's economic security, while low latency, improved scalability, and low-cost transactions have facilitated its large-scale applications. The report also emphasized that the concentration of staking among a few validator identities and operators, as well as the centralization of custody and client software, requires ongoing observation. Solana Foundation's Vice President of Technology, Jacob Creech, stated that Solana reduced its slot time to 350 milliseconds on August 21.
