According to Khaosod English, Thai immigration police have arrested a 37-year-old Chinese national suspected of participating in a transnational criminal network and money laundering, who was wanted by Chinese authorities. Investigators stated that the network handled transactions exceeding 500 million yuan (approximately 2.485 billion Thai baht). The suspect allegedly managed cryptocurrency and foreign currency exchanges for the criminal group through more than 133 accounts and was involved in arranging visas for members of the network. He was ultimately apprehended at a luxury residence in the Saphan Sung district of Bangkok. His residence permit had expired for approximately three years and eight months. He is charged with overstaying under Section 81 of the Immigration Act and will be deported to China after undergoing legal proceedings in Thailand.
