I have been following @ axisrobotics recently, and I think the project is worth seeing not only for airdrops and points, but also for its focus on a core issue in the development of Physical AI: for robots to truly enter the real world, they need a large amount of high-quality operational data. Large models can learn knowledge from the Internet, but robots need a lot of real action tracks to learn how to grasp, carry and operate tools. What Axis wants to do is to remotely operate simulation robots through a browser, combine real first person data, continuously collect and optimize training materials, and use the Base chain to record data sources and quality, creating a constantly accumulating data engine. As of October 17th, Axis' data scale is quite considerable: over 7.7 million trajectories, over 240000 global contributors, over 7.3 million on chain records, and over 1600 tasks have been released. In July, the project also completed a seed round financing of $12 million, led by Hack VC. In terms of technology, Axis V2 has started to break through the closed loop from data generation to model training. When the robot strategy fails to execute, humans can take over and correct it, and then use this data for subsequent training. According to official disclosure, after continuous pre training with π 0.5 on Axis data, the LIBERO Plus benchmark score improved from 83.9 to 88.8. In addition, the project has launched the open-source Franka simulation dataset and Open Axis Benchmark, and continues to explore real-world robot applications. In terms of tokens and communities, AXIS has a total supply of 1 billion tokens deployed on the Base chain. The Community Contributor Airdrop announced by the project accounts for approximately 10% of the total supply, divided into two stages before and after TGE. There is a time point that needs special attention here: a Pre TGE airdrop snapshot will take place on October 18th at 12:00 UTC. Users who have participated in trajectory contributions, remember to check and sign all trajectories to ensure compliance with the recording requirements for contributions before the snapshot. The contributions after snapshot will be included in the 6% community contributor reward pool after TGE according to project rules. At present, the TGE date has not been officially announced, and the specific rewards are still subject to the official announcement. Overall, Axis has established a certain data scale, technical validation, and community foundation. But I believe that what truly determines the value of the project in the future is whether the data can continue to enhance the robot's capabilities and whether it can generate practical applications in real-world scenarios. Physical AI is a direction worth long-term attention, and Axis also has its own entry point. However, data growth does not equate to commercial success, and airdrop popularity does not represent long-term value. Next, continuing to observe its technological implementation, ecological development, and token incentive mechanism may be more meaningful than simply chasing points.
