Michael mentioned in this interview that MSCI possibly removing MSTR from the index isn’t that important for Strategy because the related fund volume is quite small. However, he’s disappointed with MSCI’s standards—oil, gas, land, and machinery are considered capital, but Bitcoin isn’t. In his view, this reflects a bias against digital assets. The core debate is whether Strategy qualifies as a company with actual operating business. Michael compared it to banks and insurance companies, which also hold large amounts of assets and sell credit and policies. Strategy, on the other hand, uses bitcoin:native to support digital credit products. According to him, these products have a dividend yield of 10% to 12%. Managing these products requires active capital management, so he insists that Strategy has real business operations and should be treated like other financial companies. A @Gate, trading in more markets.
