According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on October 16, Bitcoin News reported that France has proposed several crypto tax reform amendments during discussions on the 2027 budget: a 31.4% capital gains tax may be imposed on certain digital asset exchanges for MiCA-compliant stablecoins (such as USDC); an exit tax may be levied on taxpayers leaving France who hold digital assets exceeding €800,000; self-custody wallet assets of €100,000 or more must be declared, with non-compliance subject to a maximum fine of €10,000; and losses can be carried forward for up to 10 years. The vote on the revenue section is scheduled for October 20. Currently, these proposals have not become law.
